The City of Minonk is accepting applications for Administrative Assistant. This individual will work independently and have as primary responsibilities the day-to-day municipal office management that includes payroll, billing, customer service, variety of administrative activities, and other related tasks. Overtime may be necessary during the training period or to ensure completion of time sensitive tasks. This position will report to the Mayor and Minonk City Council or their designee. Starting salary is from 28K to 38K per year depending on qualifications. The Ideal candidate will have administrative support experience, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and a willingness to provide excellent customer service. Proficient in use of personal computers & associated software including excel, word processing and spreadsheets, as well as experience using an accounting and invoicing system is a must. The selected candidate must complete a fingerprint criminal background check, drug testing, and physical.
Desired Education/Experience: HS grad/GED & min. 2 years related experience or any equivalent combination of education & progressively responsible experience.
